If you were to choose sunrise over sunset, what would you choose and why? A dear friend of mine asked me during one of those unwinding old coffee dates. I answered her with delight and said “I’d choose sunset, because the breaking of the dawn does not mean it is the end of something beautiful but the beginning of something more spectacular.”
I wasn’t quite sure with what I was blabbering about however I felt at ease after saying it to her. She was not impressed with my answer though, I guess she was waiting for a rhetorical approach. Although that didn’t stop me from believing that indeed there is much more alluding thoughts when the sun is about to set rather than when it is rising. But despite that comparison; I believe that a personality of a person is based on the setting and rising of the sun. Let’s discuss more on the setting of the sun since I chose this over the other option. The personality of a person may have its own highlights, like its very own distinction or prestige. The first impression last, so they say! Take this for an example, you suddenly become interested with this stranger you’ve just met, you find her audacity gratifying but when you get to know her more, things started moving differently, you have become unaware of her abruptness to change. You’re lost and you feel betrayed, that’s how some friendships fail. A ray of sunshine does not mean she is at her best because she could be plotting it all up in her mind just to hurt you, betray you and make you feel like a loser. How will I compare this to a sunset? Like what I have said, it maybe the end of the day, the day you thought was amazing but turned out differently. You need stop. Breathe. Clear your mind because at the end of it all the sun setting means a new beginning of something more spectacular. No longer does the sky usher clouds of storm and rain thus it adds color to your sunset sky.
